Ceramic clay serving dish "Fire Boat" (33x16.5 cm)

An exclusive, expressive and masterfully crafted piece of Latvian ceramic art — the elongated serving dish "Fire Boat". The dish has a distinctive story behind its creation: its exterior is finished with natural quartz sand from Skulte, giving it a pleasant matte texture, while glass rods fired at high temperatures melt inside to create a one-of-a-kind, sparkling interplay of colors and crystals.

• Technique: Hand-formed ceramic, exterior coated with Skulte quartz sand, melted glass inside

• Origin: Made in Latvia (an original work by Latvian artisans)

• Dimensions: 33 x 16.5 cm, height 7 cm

• Materials: Clay, quartz sand, melted glass

• Note: The melted-glass technique makes each dish an entirely unique work of art — the glass pattern and interplay of colors are different in every piece.
